This is such an awesome book. READ. IT. NOW! This is my first book by Nancy and I can say without hesitation that I am not let down. I've wanted to read her Destiny series for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it. (P.S. Meeting Destiny (Destiny #1) is FREE on Kindle!)

We can easily get into the book and set a continuous pace. This book pulls us through effortlessly and we don't realize where the pages have gone. It flies by, and so does the time. The characters, the plot and the world and history are easy to get into.

We relate to Camille straight away, she is one of my favourite heroines of 2012. We connect with her from beginning to end and try to understand all that she is going through. She is such a 'real' character and fits perfectly into this new world. Everything that she does and believes in make us feel the same way, especially when things occur in the novel, we instantly get the same reaction that Camille does.

Reading this, even though we don't know too much about her mother, we get to know her throughout the book. She influenced a lot of things on how this all came to be. I really wish that we get a novella in this series about Camille's mother, before she had Camille, and what drove her to make the choices she did. We get to see some of it in her journal, but not enough to satisfy us. Even though we didn't know her, we feel like we do once we finish this novel. We get frustrated when Camille is trying to learn about her powers, and about how she hid everything from her to try and protect her. The same reason as all novels come up here, she would be able to protect herself better if she knew exactly what she was going up against and protecting herself from, and practising on how to protect herself than find it all out when there is basically no time left to do anything. Love makes people strange sometimes, maybe her mother didn't want her to embrace her powers because she thought that she might not like living in seclusion from the herd or from her father's family.

The rest of the backing characters are also done like this, although they are alive. We find them strange at times and a little weird in their beliefs, because we are unfamiliar with their Centaur ways. Especially with Bianca, we love her to bits, but she is so comfortable with knowing that Drake is in love, and is going to fall in love, with Camille, even going to the lengths to draw them together! Speaking of, how can you not fall in love with Drake? Seriously though? no further explanation on this, it is self explanatory once you read this. Sigh, Drake, Swoon.

We have a love-hate relationship with the Richardson's, at one point we hate Kyle because he is out to get a blood debt, but then on the other hand, Gage and Kyle try to help when they figure out what Camille's grandmother is doing to her. Like seriously? CRAZY MUCH!?

We get annoyed with Camille's progress in communicating with her Centauride self. She doesn't seem to quite get the hang of using her 'powers', maybe because she is so desperate to use them to communicate with her mother that she is not getting to her full capacity because she is distracted and in her mind, half still doesn't believe that this is all not real.

The end is something we don't expect. This is the same with all of the plot throughout the novel, we don't expect much and we get surprised with it all, mainly beacuse we are still taking in this new world. A gripping final to the novel that leaves us hanging for more in this unque series. Everything is starting to unravel and we anxiously wait to see more of it and to figure out what happens. Can't wait to read the second novel, Centaur Legacy. It was just released on the 22nd November 2012 and really want to see what happens to Camille and Drake next with chasing up their legacy and if they end up being together.

*Spoiler-y*
We still don't know who Daniel really is, we get the feeling that he is something more, even if he doesn't know it yet, but we know that his father does. My suspicion is that he is a half breed. Anyone else agree?
